Welcome!

The 2012 International Teaching Experience in Belize is here! On April 28, our itinerary will take us from Louisville to Houston, Texas, and from Houston to Belize. With a team of 22 students, faculty, and staff members from the College of Education and Human Development, we will participate in exciting opportunities and cultural experiences.

The primary school (Pre-school – 8th grade) team will spend three days teaching in Red Bank Primary School, and three days teaching at Independence Primary School, while secondary majors will teach at the Georgetown High School. Participants will gain first-hand experience in teaching culturally diverse students, valuable knowledge by working in teacher placement sites, and global competence by participating in cultural excursions.

We invite you to join our blog. We will keep you up to date by posting daily pictures and summaries. Please post your greeting and comments to our participants. Since we are far from home, we look forward to hearing from you.
