Dancing with the Independence Stars

Everyday I've been here I think I've said "Today has been the best day ever."  Each day keeps getting better.  I had a great day of teaching my class.  However, that was not the highlight. As you may know, I have danced all my life and it is a passion of mine.  My teachers knew that I was a member of the University of Louisville Ladybirds so, when they did their dance for their big performance next week at the preview on Monday, they asked me to look for corrections or notes I could give them.  As soon as I got to school this morning, my teacher told me to go to the stage area because they were getting ready to practice.  After giving the students some notes, they asked me to show them my dance moves.  Instead, I told them I would do the dance with them.  They loved it.  We had so much fun together.  We are also donating pom poms for their event next week so they decided to write the sweetest thank-you letters for me.  I will keep these notes forever to treasure as a memory of this trip.  I have fallen in love with these kids and this country.  I am so thankful for this opportunity and I can't wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store.
